The Science Coalition Congratulates Nobel Laureates from Three Member Institutions
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Science Coalition (TSC) commends and celebrates the remarkable achievements of this year’s Nobel laureates from three TSC member institutions – Harvard University, Princeton University, and the University of Washington – for their groundbreaking contributions to science and technology.
Winners from TSC member institution include:
- Harvard University: Gary Ruvkun
Gary Ruvkun, a professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School, received the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his pioneering work on microRNAs. Dr. Ruvkun, alongside Victor Ambros, discovered microRNA, which regulates gene expression. Their findings have revolutionized our understanding of cellular processes and opened new avenues for potential treatments for cancer and other diseases.
